How to order your student card and how to pay the membership fee?

Instructions for ordering a student card electronically

1. Go to the electronic membership form from the icon "Become a member".

2. Fill in your personal information to the form and press "Continue".

3. Fill in the year when you have began your studies, choose the starting period (autumn/spring), university of applied sciences (Vaasa), unit, education unit and study program Press "Continue".

4. Choose the length of your membership. Also choose if your information can be used for direct marketing. Finally press "Continue".

5. Check "I’m ordering a student card" and choose the color: blue (for all-time students) /green (other students). Load your photo as a jpg to the form for the card. Photo’s demand:

• Photo’s minimum size is 201x295 pixels, but it can be a bit bigger.
• File’s maximum size is 1Mt, and it needs to be in jpg-form.
• Photo needs to be vertical, aka its height is bigger than breadth.
• Photo needs to be passport photo-kind, so that you can recognize student well.
• Photo can be black ’n white or colorful.
• Face has to be clearly in sight.
• Photo has to be taken straight from ahead.
• Head has to be straight and in the middle of the photo, and student needs to look straight to the camera.
• Background should be as neutral as possible.
• Accessories or hair should not cover the face.
• Lighting should be neutral (no strong shadows or lights).

After you have added the picture, use the cropping tool. Press "Continue".

6. Check the information you gave and photo’s cropping at the preview page. If needed, return and fix the info or the picture. When everything’s correct and you’re satisfied, check "My information is correct, I will pay".

7. Choose your internet bank and go forward to pay the membership fee. You can also send the bill in pdf-form to your e-mail or print it out and pay it later. Finally, log out from the internet bank.If you pay the card from a foreign (not Finnish) bank account, pleace sent a receipt of the payment to the following e-mail address: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

8. When we see your payment, we accept your application and order your student card.

9. Your student card can be picked up from your study unit in 2 to 4 weeks after the ordering. You can get the card from VAMOK’s office in Raastuvankatu or from the duty in Teku.

VAMOK's membership fee

Old students can pay VAMOK's membership fee electronically. Click on the icon "Renew your membership". Fill in your STUDENT NUMBER with the letter e (not yout personal identity code). When the system finds your personal data, you can pay the membership fee by using your own online bank. You can get the new academic year sticker either from VAMOK's office or from Teku's dejour.

If the system does not find your personal data, you can pay the membership fee into VAMOK's bank account (567008-2135257) by using the following reference numbers:

Membership fee for the spring term 2012 (14€) reference number:  5950 01161.

Write your name into the message field. Remember to print out a receipt and take it with you when you come to get your new academic year sticker.
